    The Dräger X-am 8000 gas meter measures up to seven toxic -as well as flammable- gases, vapours and oxygen simultaneously – in both pumping and diffusion mode. Innovative signalling design and practical assistant functions ensure complete safety throughout the process.

    Description

    The Dräger X-am 8000 gas meter can measure up to seven toxic gases, flammable gases, vapours and oxygen simultaneously. Both in pump and diffusion mode. The gas meter is equipped with a very powerful pump and can be connected to a hose with a maximum length of 45 metres. A pump adapter allows easy switching between diffusion and pump mode at any time. This means that the pump is used only when it is really needed. This saves energy, reduces wear and tear and also extends the life of the pump.

    Detecting hydrocarbons with PID sensors

    To measure difficult hydrocarbons, the Dräger X-am 8000 can be equipped with one of two powerful PID sensors, the PD HC and the PID LC. The PID HC has a measurement range of 0 – 2,000 ppm (isobutylene). The PID LC ppb is particularly suitable for a measurement range of 0 – 10 ppm (isobutylene) with high resolution in the range of < 1 ppm.

    The signal system of the Dräger X-am 8000 is based on clear colour coding and meets the required standards.

    • Red LED = gas alarm
    • Yellow LED = device-related alarm, e.g. battery low
    • Green LED = device is ready for operation
    • The green-lit D-Light allows you to see from a distance whether the device has been properly tested and is ready to use.
