Port Facility Security Officer
Every port facility in the world should have a Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO). This is defined in the International Ship and Port Security Code (ISPS Code). It is necessary to have a Port Facility Security Officer in place to ensure compliance with the Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP). Below are some of the tasks that the PFSO must perform during their work:
- Perform PFSA (Risk Analysis)
- Implement, ensure and perform PFSP (Security Plan)
- Developing safety awareness among employees
- Further development of security personnel
- Maintaining contact on measures with the SSO and CSO
- Working with safety services, both private and public
RBC can manage the entire certification process for you and, if required, draw up the PFSA and PFSP for you.
